Family is the reason for everything I do. My wife and I moved all over the country for most of my Air Force career. When we came to Idaho over 20 years ago, we felt at home and have raised our family here. We feel like our friends and neighbors have become family also. We raised three wonderful children in Mountain Home and all three graduated from Mountain Home High School and I look forward to watching my three beautiful grandchildren follow their path. I will protect the sanctity of life as a state legislator and I will do all I can to protect and nurture the family as the cornerstone of our great country.
As your state representative, I will protect your freedom and liberty and your individual right to choose your direction and achieve the success you deserve.

Education
As an educator in a rural Idaho high school for the past 16 years, I have a firsthand view of our strengths and weaknesses. We have great teachers and students. We need to continue to include parents and community members in the process of developing an educational process that provides multiple paths to produce career ready students. Some of our students graduate from high school and pursue higher education, some go on to additional vocational training, some join the military and others go directly into the work force. Our job as educators and legislators is to provide a path to success for all these different options, these students are the future of Idaho. As the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) State of Idaho High School Civics Teacher of the year for 2019-2020, I will continue to provide a direct link to what is happening in our schools to build a better path to success for our students.
Gun Rights
As a 20-year combat aviator veteran of the United States Air Force, I have spent my life committed to protecting the Constitution of the United States. I support the right of the individual to keep and bear arms, as guaranteed by the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and article one section eleven of the Idaho State Constitution and stand to protect that right at every opportunity.
Limited Government
Our Founders understood the idea of giving government certain tasks and responsibilities and created a system that would limit the power and reach of government. I believe in limited government. As a state representative, I will legislate in a way that will protect local control.
Personal Liberty and Opportunity
Ronald Reagan said it best in his first Inaugural Address and I want to share his thoughts with everyone.
“If we look to the answer as to why, for so many years, we achieved so much, prospered as no other people on Earth, it was because here, in this land, we unleashed the energy and individual genius of man to a greater extent than has ever been done before. Freedom and the dignity of the individual have been more available and assured here than in any other place on Earth. The price for this freedom at times has been high, but we have never been unwilling to pay that price.”
